If you are feeling excited about learning how to speak and understand Russian, this is the right place to be.
If you wish to study the Russian language, to get acquainted with Russian history and culture, you have come to the right place!
Russian is a Slavic language in the Indo-European family. It is one of the most widely spoken native languages in Europe. The majority of Russian speakers live in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus, with fewer speakers residing in former USSR republics and other countries around the world with large immigrant populations from the former Soviet Union.
Learning Russian as a foreign language requires time and dedication. We recommend that you study our Russian language course a few minutes a day on a regular basis.
If you are a beginner, you can get started right away with an introductory lesson on the Russian alphabet, also known as the Cyrillic alphabet. Since Russian doesn't use the Roman alphabet, it may be somewhat tricky at first, but it is a manageable task and very useful when it comes to being able to read new Russian words, street signs, and restaurant menus. You will be glad you've learned it if you ever decide to spend a vacation in Moscow, Saint Petersburg or a tiny provincial town in Russia.
Learning Russian from textbooks provides a good foundation, but you may be surprised how little you can understand when someone speaks to you in normal-paced, native Russian. The way Russians speak on the street is significantly different to the ideal pronunciation presented in language books.
Our teachers are all fully qualified native speakers, with a university degree and each have more than 10 years experience teaching Russian as a foreign language . Whether you are a beginner, or at an intermediate or advanced level, we can offer Russian language courses to suit you.
